Making the Dell Keyboard Media Controls Work With Ubuntu and Amarok

If you love Amarok and have a keyboard with multimedia keys that you'd like to use to control Amarok under Ubuntu (Gnome), here are a few things you should look at:
  1. System -> Preferences -> Keyboard
  2. Click on layout tab
  3. Make sure the correct keyboard is configured.
  4. Load up Amarok and go to settings -> Configure global Shortcuts
  5. Go to "Configure global shortcuts in Amarok" and change the keys to whatever you want.
  6. Make sure that none of the shortcuts in Amarok are the same as:
    System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts (because those won't work with Amarok)
